Nishchal Baniya

Mr. Nishchal Baniya founded Bagmati UNESCO Club in March, 2021 and has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Bagmati UNESCO. He did his undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Zhejiang University of Technology and holds a post graduate diploma in International Relations from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Holding award and titles from multiple scientific institutions, Mr. Baniya has had the opportunity to serve as the Contact Point of the Nuclear Disarmament, Non-Proliferation and Armed Control Working Group of the Official Children and Youth Constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (YOUNGO). Mr. Baniya currently serves as the Executive Board Member and the National Coordinator for the Natural Science Division at the National Federation of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO.

Pratistha Dhakal

Ms. Pratistha Dhakal was the General Secretary of Bagmati UNESCO Club since during it’s inception in March 2021. Ms. Dhakal is a graduate of Bachelors in Nursing from Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University and has served as the Executive Board Member leading to the position of Board of Directors at Aarambha Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Kathmandu. She has served as the Health System Strengthening Officer at the Nepal Health Sector Support Programme III of the UK AID in Nepal and is currently working as the Research Officer at HERD International. Ms. Dhakal currently serves as the Member of the Board of Directors at Bagmati UNESCO Club.
